The Complete Yang Family Short Form Rising Dragon Tai Chi with Richard Farmer DVD.

Richard is the founder & principal instructor of Rising Dragon Tai Chi in Britain. This is the UK’s premier Tai Chi School & so to watch Richard play the form is quite exquisite. I trained and practiced with Richard before becoming his assistant and subsequently a qualified Tai Chi instructor. RDTC is a unique Tai Chi School in that it teaches the 4 Principles that are the spiritual foundation of Tai Chi Chuan. These 4 principles are explored in the Short Form, deepened through the Long Form & Duo work and engaged with in everyday life. They become our practice. This DVD has an introduction to the lineage of this Tai Chi followed by a series of warm up exercises. There is a complete form to follow along to and then two forms to watch & learn from including the physical principles of practice. More has gone into the production of this DVD compared to the NSSTC DVD and it is very evident. This is an excellent resource, you’ll see & learn a great deal from selecting this one.

The Complete Yang Family Short Form NSSTC DVD.

This DVD was shot in 3 different locations. What you see is what you get, there’s no attempt at making a fancy Tai Chi DVD here, just in case that’s what you are looking for. They are not perfect forms but each one is simply there as a guide for you on your Tai Chi journey. There is no sound track or instructions, just me playing form on some rather cold but sunny days. One form is indoors, the other 3 were shot outdoors. Look out for the one shot in wind chill minus 15. Students have enjoyed being able to freeze frame and take a closer look at what’s happening. If you have never seen the Short Form played in its entirety this is a good way to see it. The last form runs for nearly 12 minutes so it should be plenty slow enough for you to see what you require.

Yang Family Short Form Audio CD Stage 1.

The CD is a live recording of myself talking through Stage 1, just as if it were a real class situation. Students have found this a very helpful technique to use as it becomes focused on you playing Tai Chi independently. This CD will provide the support of both hearing the form step by step, offer reminders about technique, how to connect postures, find the flow & review the principles of practice all in your own personal space. Part 1 is a list of the postures to follow along to. Part 2 we begin to link the postures step by step & follow along. Part 3 the focus is upon the root, the steps & weight, simply follow. Part 4 now starting to combine the principles of the Yang & Yin Cycles. Part 5 is in a more flowing verbal context, inviting you to trust what you know and follow. Part 6 the postures are taken in turn and opened up to you in depth.

NSSTC T- Shirts.

This has proved to be a tricky one. I simply have not been able to locate a T- Shirt that has some style and is a suitable product both ethically and morally. Also everyone likes their own things, colors, styles, fit and so on. I have very successfully created my own iron on logos and they have been in use on my own shirts for more than 3 years. The application of them is very straight forward and the items have been worn & washed more times than I care to remember. You’ll need a little patience, a pair of scissors and a warm iron, instructions are included. The design and size of the logo is the same as on the shirts I wear in class and will be printed only in one color, Black, so its best to find a light colored shirt for maximum effect.

Cost $15.00 per 2 Logos ~ includes shipping & handling
